Creating profiles

Before you can create a working profile you should make sure you configure the renderers you need inside Erizos studio (check - Configure Render Engines ).

Users and Profiles:
A User is defined by its permissions in using the Erizos Studio environment.
A Profile is an Output configuration, usually each physical studio have its own profile
Note that there is no hierarchy between users and profiles.

When the engines are configured you should open profile:

  1. The Profile menu is located in bottom left corner of the Erizos Studio Client interface.
  2. Click on the menu and click on edit profiles.

  3. In the Profile Editor, under the left-most column, “profiles”, click on to add a new profile. Name it as you like.

  4. In the right-column, “outputs”, click on to add a new output (engine).

  5. Fill out the form:

    1. Name: give a name that would help you understand which renderer is referred to.
    2. Type: select the engine, it is a drop down menu that is filled by the render engines that you configured in Erizos studio.
    3. Address: the IP address of the machine that runs the rendering engine.
    4. Port: add the corresponding port for the engine if not filled automatically.
      For Unreal engine: 5000
      For Vizrt: 6100 (unless configured otherwise)

    5. Click save
  6. After adding the output engine be sure that you see the new output option - and that the red mark turns green.

    1. If the icon is Green, then Erizos Studio successfully connected to the render engine
    2. If the icon is Red, Erizos Studio failed to connect to the render engine.
      This could be either because the render engine is not running in on-air/play mode, or that there is a network issue blocking the connection
  7. Drag the desired output engine under preview and program in the center column as needed to add it to the profile.
