Settings: Storage
The Storage tab in Erizos Studio Settings provides access to essential configurations for file management and media handling. Below are the features and settings available under this tab:
MediaHub
To configure MediaHub, refer to this guide for detailed instructions.
Mapped Drives
The Mapped Drives section allows you to link remote shared folders to Erizos Studio as if they were local drives. Follow these steps to configure it:
- Drive: Select a drive letter (E-Z) from the dropdown menu. This letter will represent the mapped drive within Erizos Studio.
- Remote Shared Folder Path: Type-in the network path to the shared folder (e.g., \server\foldername) or use the folder icon to browse and select the path.
- Click the + (Add) button to add the mapped drive.
- Press Save Settings to apply your changes.
Note
Ensure the folder is shared on the network and has proper permissions for Erizos Studio to access it. Mapped Drives are useful for centralized file storage, such as media files, logs, settings, and backups.
Storage
The Storage section allows additional features for automated file handling and enhanced media management.
Features:
- Allow Image Cropping:
- Enabled: Cropped images are generated and stored on the server.
- Disabled: Saves server space but removes the cropping functionality for images.
- Upload Assets to DB:
- Enabled: Assets are being stored on the server database.
- Disabled: Prevents assets from being stored in the server database. In this case, the exact asset path must be available on all render nodes, and assets won’t be accessible in the browser version of Studio Client.
- File Size Limit: restricts the usage of files larger than a specific size. Files exceeding this limit cannot be used.
Tip
We recommend enabling the Storage Settings for seamless file management and access across render nodes.
