Scheduling

The Scheduling UI allows you to create, modify and assign your branding graphics to the daily TV channel playlist.s. It features two main sections: one for managing playlists and the other for modifying playlist fields.
In Studio Scheduling consists of: Channels->Groups (groups of pages)->Pages.
Sections on the screen when on Branding:
- Left Section: Pages (Graphics) for the Channel section on the left has a list of pages that have been prepared for the specific TV channel. You can add, modify and delete pages, as well as assigning automatic content using the Content Mapping utility.
- Right Section: Playlist Planned to On-Air
Shows the selected playlist’s details, groups of pages and editable fields. Here, you will be able to see the graphics assigned to each item (primary event) in your playlist.

Default Fields for Branding Playlist:

Playlist Rules

  • Begin Time (Day Switch): Start time cannot be changed.
  • Only the Duration field is editable.
  • No gaps are allowed within a playlist.
  • Groups cannot be nested inside other groups.
  • Playlists cannot be sorted.
  • Secondary events can be created based on predefined rules.

Content Mapping
This involves mapping content from individual pages into the Scheduling Page. It allows you to allocate specific content to time slots within a playlist. Click on Page => content mapping.

Rules for Scheduling

  • Each rule consists of conditions.
  • Condition Example: If Duration is equal to 0, then take on-Air the next page.
  • For instance, if scheduling a TV show and then a movie and series with ads, the rules will determine how these elements are sequenced and adjusted.

Export/Import Pages
Export: Allows you to export page settings, rules, and mappings from one channel.
Import: Enables importing these settings into a different channel, often used for synchronizing a main channel and a backup channel.

Monitor

The Monitor UI displays the real-time countdown of your content on-air. It helps you track the status of each scheduled item.

Features of the Timeline View
- Green Highlight: Indicates that the content is currently on-air.
- Yellow Highlight: Indicates that the content is preparing to go on-air.

Usage
The Monitor section is exclusively used for observing the timeline of your channel's content. It does not allow for scheduling changes but provides real-time updates on the status of the broadcast.
