AsRun

Overview

The AsRun feature provides users with a detailed log of broadcast events, allowing you to track aired content after transmission. It captures key broadcast data such as timestamps, page names, profiles, channels, and actions performed. This feature is essential for post-broadcast verification, compliance audits, reporting, and event analysis.

Filters

Use filters to focus on specific broadcast events.

Full log entry

  1. Source:

    • Live – displays real-time events.
    • Date – allows selecting a specific date for reviewing past broadcasts.

  2. Date/Time:

    • Date – select the specific date.
    • From – starting time.
    • To – ending time.

  3. Action:

    • All – displays all actions.
    • Take In – only “Take In” events.
    • Take Out – only “Take Out” events.

  4. Show:

    • All Shows – displays all shows.
    • Or select any specific existing show.

  5. Profile:

    • Choose the corresponding profile.

  6. Channel:

    • Select the channel.

  7. Download:

    • Press this button to export the filtered data to a CSV file and download it.

Displayed Information

Once filters are applied, the following columns are shown in the results table:

  • Time - Exact timestamp of the event.
  • Show - Name of the show.
  • Page Name - Name of the aired page.
  • Profile - Profile associated with the show.
  • Channel - Channel on which the event occurred.
  • Action - Broadcast action (All/Take In/Take Out).

Scheduled Filter Sets

The Scheduled Filter Sets feature allows users to:

  • Define frequently used filters.
  • Set a schedule.
  • Automatically export the filtered data to a CSV file into a specified folder.

This is particularly useful for recurring reporting, compliance checks, and broadcast analysis.

How to Create and Schedule a Filter Set

You can create or edit a filter set in two ways:

  • Directly in the AsRun section.
  • Using the Save As or Edit button in the Filters subsection.

When creating a filter set, the following fields are available:

Name Name of the filter set
Schedule Toggle On/Off to enable automatic file generation and download
Show Select show from dropdown
Profile Select relevant profile
Channel Choose the channel
From Starting time for the filtered results
To Ending time for the filtered results

Automatic File Download: Enabling Scheduled Results

When the Schedule toggle is enabled for a filter set, the system will automatically export the filtered data to a CSV file into a specified folder on the local machine.

To configure this:

  1. Navigate to: Studio → Settings → General.
  2. Locate the AsRun subsection.
  3. Switch the Scheduled Download toggle to On.
  4. Set the Download Folder Path – type the full path where results will be saved, or use the folder icon to navigate to the folder where you want to save the exported AsRun files to.
  5. Click the Schedule field to open the Schedule Editor.
  6. Define how often the download occurs: Every year / month / week / day / hour / minute.
  7. Choose the days to keep the AsRun reports.
  8. Press Save Settings.

Filter Set Creation

Note

Make sure the folder path is accessible and has write permissions for saving files.

Example Use Case

Suppose you need daily logs for a specific show and channel between 06:00 and 12:00.

Steps: - Create a filter set with the above parameters - Enable the Schedule - Set the target folder path - Configure the schedule to download daily at 12:30

Result: Every day at 12:30, a new AsRun file with filtered data will appear in the specified folder.
