Admin: Backups

Erizos studio supports a daily backup of its database, in addition you can save a backup manually, download or upload a backup file, restore the database to a previous backup and delete a backup from memory.

Daily Backups

  1. Navigate to http://[serverIP]:5550/admin in your browser of choice.
  2. In the General tab scroll down to the Backup section.
  3. Turn On the Backup toggle to enable automatic backups of your Studio Server and/or settings.
  4. In the Folder field, specify the destination folder where the backup files will be stored.
  5. Choose whether to include only the Database or both the Databaseand Settings in the backup file.
  6. To set a backup schedule, click Edit next to the Schedule field, then define how often backups should be created (yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily) and specify the exact time.
  7. Set the amount of days to keep the generated backup files.
  8. Press Save Settings in the Settings modal.

Working with backups

  1. Navigate to http://[serverIP]:5550/admin in your browser of choice.
  2. Select backups tabs.

Under the backup tabs you can find all the previous backups, and on the top right corner you will find the backup options:

Icons and meaning

Name Icon Description
Create snapshot create a new updated backup of the database
Upload choose a backup file from the machine to upload to the server.
Download Available only when a backup is selected
Save the selected backup to the machine.
Restore Available only when a backup is selected
Load the selected backup to the database.
Delete Available only when a backup is selected
Delete the selected backup from memory.
